HVS has introduced a new mechanism for serving the street children at the places they frequently exist in the street. Such mechanism is composed of 3 mobile units that provide health, food and clothes services as well as social, health and psychological awareness. The mobile unit procedure is designed to prepare the children before they are referred to the reception centers where they can have a full range of services and have their problems solved. Moving according to a specified schedule, the mobile unit goes around greater Cairo for acquainting the children with the places of HVS centers that they cannot reach. The mobile unit works through an integrated teamwork of social workers, psychologists, a physician, a nurse and a driver.
